Dr. Sonny Song

Dr. Sonny Song became interested in orthodontics after witnessing a close friend undergo treatment and seeing the profound effect it had on her confidence and self-esteem. His decision to pursue orthodontics was later cemented after shadowing an orthodontist in college over the summer. The unique combination of art, science and the personal connections formed with patients was something that appealed to Dr. Song.

Dr. Song received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He then went on to pursue his master’s degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Dr. Song obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Southern Illinois University graduating with magna cum laude distinction. During his time there, he was honored with awards from the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Illinois State Dental Society Foundation and Psi Omega International Dental Fraternity. He earned his specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics from the prestigious Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Dr. Song has completed the board certification process and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, you’ll find Dr. Song making a mess in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, traveling, creating pottery and trying out local eateries in the DMV area.
